Section A. Open: “Happy New Year!” Functional Table Tray for One

A tray planned/set for actual service of food. The decorative unit should be in proportion to one (1) place setting. Space 30 x 30

Design Tips:
The tray requires an appropriately- sized decorative unit. The stability of the decorative unit given importance. See Handbook for Flower Shows page 77, and Designing by Types, pages 31-33.

Section B. NJSA: “New Year’s Eve Ball Drop” Cascade Design

A design with the emphasis on a downward, rhythmic movement. Space 30 x 30

Design Tips: The downward lines may be curved, straight, zigzag or combination. The design is supported by a container or other device. A minimum of components may extend upward. See Handbook for Flower Shows page 73.

Design Tips:
Lines may go in any direction; but they must create separate and distinct rhythms. They may cross each other, be interrupted or contiguous. See Handbook for Flower Shows page 75, and Designing by Types, pages 85-89.
